Browser ZIP cleaner

Remove __MACOSX & .DS_Store from a ZIP

Drop a ZIP, preview the junk entries, download a clean archive. Nothing is uploaded.

Files never leave your device — everything runs in your browser.

Three local steps

How it works

  1. Select ZIP files. The browser reads each archive's directory on this device.
  2. Review the removal list. Keep or remove each metadata class before rebuilding.
  3. Download clean archives. Regular entries keep their bytes, dates, names, and folder structure.

FAQ

What is the __MACOSX folder?

macOS Finder adds it when compressing; it stores resource forks Windows/Linux don't need.

Will this break my files?

No. Real entries are copied byte-for-byte; only metadata entries are dropped.

Is anything uploaded?

No. The ZIP is read and rebuilt in your browser.

What about password-protected ZIPs?

Not supported yet.

Can I clean several ZIPs at once?

Yes, drop them together.
